Hey guys, Talked to xpertz about this already and he hasnt got a clue, so thought id make a post see if any1 can help me Smiley

Basically, I have had the same comp for 3 years now, I have run WoW, Devil May Cry 4, CSS, Portal etc all on high settings all perfectly fine of getting 60-80 fps.

The other day i went back to wow for a bit to talk to some old mates and i was really bored. They asked me to help out so i did, but the issue is i was Disconnecting at random times, it only happened when a lot of things were going on (ie everyone fighting a boss, or something requiring high graphics). We did the same thing 6 times, 4 times it Disconnected me throughout the fight and other 2 just made me lag A LOT. I closed all programs running, including Ventrilo, MSN, Steam, AVG, anything i could see i closed it, I am not capped nor was any1 in my flat downloading (no1 was even on a comp apart from me).

I was questioning the internet but it would only disconnect me from WoW itself not the Ventrilo server i was on, so leads me to believe something is wrong with my comp. 6 months ago when i sold my account I could handle all of the high end stuff with settings on full. there were no issues at all. I come back, settings on lowest possible and disconnects me for reasons i can only assume that my comp is unable to handle.

Here are my comps specs (dont laugh at me!)
OS: Vista
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.00GHz
Memory (RAM): 2.00GB
System Type: 32-Bit
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT (PCI Express x16)
If there is anything else that might be helpful let me know.

But does any1 know why it would do it? or can suggest ways of speeding up my comp?

The net dropped out other night, but not when this was going on, i was connected to ventrilo the entire time and ventrilo was giving no lag of speech or anything, hence why i think its more of my comp not being able to handle it so well any more. gonna get an external harddrive and get rid of heaps of s***.

4gb total? or 4gb extra? when playing CSS i have had no issues with lag or disconnections (have a little spaz sometimes when im killed and it goes instantly to the spec of where u just died? it doesn't like that sometimes but only for that 1 sec of rapid change)

4GB total,

They are having some routing issues, lots of pages in text only etc.

Duby, internet issues can be international only, so you NZ Vent server could be fine, it may only be routing to America etc. or like long long routes the wrong way around the world, meaning ping and lagg outs

with the same comp i done 40 man raids AV is fine with everyone in 1 spot, same with WG.
4 months ago it handled 25 Uldar + ToC with ease, no issues involved.

Might give it a clean, but yeah looking at getting 2x2gb sticks for around $160-$170.
